30 jobs created by Mayo's €10m. new ALDI supermarket

The new €10 million ALDI supermarket is up and running in Ballina.

It is the chain's fifth in the county and has created up to 30 new permanent jobs in the local area as part of a wider €63 million investment in the west of Ireland involving 10 stores.

The store has been designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible, powered by 100% green electricity and featuring solar panels on the roof of the store.

ALDI now operates a network of 152 stores nationwide.
