Mayo to host National Services Day tomorrow

The National Services Day will be celebrated at the Mall, Castlebar, tomorrow.

It is a day that gives our frontline, emergency and security services a platform through a series of events to thank the public for their support and assistance.

A group of emergency services from across Mayo, which includes Mayo County Council’s Fire Service and Civil Defence are coordinating the event in Mayo.

There will be an emergency services vehicle display from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pavillion Road car park, which is adjacent to Mayo County Library.

There will also be a formal Recognition and Remembrance Ceremony at The Mall, Castlebar, at 12 p.m.

It is advised to assemble at 11.45 a.m.
