Cash and cocaine seized during extensive Mayo drugs detection operation
An extensive search has been conducted today by the Mayo Garda Drugs Detection Unit at four locations in the Castlebar area.
It resulted in a sum of €47,000 being seized along with €8,000 in suspected cocaine.
A man in his 40s has been arrested and is being detained at Castlebar Garda Station.
The search operation was supported by the Garda Armed Support Unit, local garda detectives and the Garda Dog Unit
