Cubbie sensory hub opens at Swinford Library
A CUBBIE sensory hub has been officially opened at Swinford Library.
The Cubbie is a safe space which pre-empts sensory overload and allows a child or adult time to regulate.
Award-winning Swinford-based technology firm Cubbie - founded by local man David McIntyre - manufactures the Cubbie Sensory Management System, which is a safe, comfortable and adaptable environment for people with a disability or special needs.
A Cubbie was also installed in Castlebar Library in recent months.
The Cubbie was officially opened at a celebration at Swinford Library yesterday (Monday) evening.
A great evening in #Swinford Library with the official opening of our Sensory Cubbie - many thanks to Minister Dara Calleary, Councillors John Cribbin, Michael Smyth & Gerry Murray for helping to mark the occasion. And to James Campbell for his excellent ribbon-cutting skills! pic.twitter.com/21Po4ZuAgn
