Approval for Mayo primary school extension
The Department of Education has confirmed that initial project approval has now issued for an extension to St. Joseph’s National School, Ballinrobe, under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme.
Welcoming the news Deputy Michael Ring stated: "This extension will include two 25 square metre SET rooms, conversion of a class DEN base unit into a two class SEN base unit plus one 80 square metre purchased modular general classroom to be installed as soon as possible.
“This is excellent news for the pupils and teachers of St. Joseph’s National School, Ballinrobe.
This extension is very welcome news to their school community and it will greatly expand their facilities” concluded Deputy Michael Ring.
Deputy Alan Dillon stated: “This confirmation is great news for the school community and will improve the offering and services of the school.
"I look forward to seeing works commence and want to wish principal Dymphna Culhane, the board of management, teachers and students every continued success for the future."
