Mayo business feted at national awards ceremony

A Mayo business has scooped a prestigious title at the Irish Hair and Beauty Awards 2022.

Jennie McDonald of Lash & Brow Emporium, Castlebar, was named Lash Extensions Specialist of the Year at the event held at the Raddison Blu Hotel, Cork.

She told The Connaught Telegraph she is both humbled and thrilled by the success.

Established 11 years ago, her business has gone from strength to strength thanks to the loyalty of her customers.

The award is also a recognition of her hard work in keeping her business strong.

This involved a relaunch and change of premises in the aftermath of the Covid-19 lockdowns.

As well as her national title, Jennie also received a Certificate of Recognition in the 'Semi/Permanent Makeup Specialist of the Year' category.

"I am so happy, proud and grateful," added Jennie.

Jennie's was the only west of Ireland business to be feted at the event which showcased those who promote excellence, set the trends and take care of people's hair, nails, lashes and make-up needs in the best possible way.

It also recognised the most distinguished, most stylish and most comfortable salons in Ireland.
