Knockmore's Ray Dempsey in contention for Limerick GAA job

Ray Dempsey is a candidate to become the next manager of the Limerick senior football squad.

The Knockmore boss is strongly linked tonight with the vacancy.

He missed out on securing the Mayo position a number of weeks ago after being tipped in many quarters to land the job ahead of Kevin McStay.

His departure would represent a major blow to his club after winning the last two Mayo SFC titles.
