Stanley Townsend

Solar Bones coming to Mayo stage

MAYO author Mike McCormack’s multi-award-winning novel Solar Bones is coming to the stage.

It is being brought to life by actor Stanley Townsend in a performance directed by Lynne Parker in an adaption by Michael West.

Marcus Conway has come home to his kitchen in Louisburgh. Everything seems normal, yet he is haunted by the feeling that nothing is quite right.

Poring obsessively over the details of his relationships, his world and his work as an engineer brings him closer to an understanding of how the things and people he loves have come together, and how they have and must inevitably come apart.

Described as 'spellbinding and compelling' by the Business Post, the Solar Bones tour will be coming to the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on October 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets (€20) can be booked through the Linenhall website, https://thelinenhall.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873638570/events/129446822/seats?zone=Allocated%20Seating.
