SHEILA DALY, CASTLEBAR

Sheila (Sile) Daly (Churchtown and Castlebar). Died peacefully (October 10, 2022) in the exceptional care of the HASU Unit at St James’s Hospital, following dedicated support from the team at Orwell Lodge Nursing Home.

Remembered lovingly by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a wide circle of devoted and loyal friends.

In keeping with Síle's generous spirit, she donated her body to the Anatomy Department at Trinity College. There will be a celebration of her long and wonderful life at a later date.

COLIN JOYCE, CLAREMORRIS

The untimely death has occurred of Colin Joyce, beloved son of Paraic and Bridie Joyce (neé Lawless).

Sadly missed by his grandparents Mick and Delia Joyce, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and his many close friends.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday evening from 4 o'clock until 8 o'clock. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace and St. Gerald, Mayo Abbey, for funeral mass at 12 o'clock with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

KENNY SLOAN, FOXFORD

The death has occurred of Kenny Sloan, 7 Riverside, Foxford and late of Lurgan, Co. Armagh peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff of the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar

Kenny was predeceased by his parents Isaac and Margaret and his brother Jim. Kenny will be dearly missed by his partner Teresa, Tommy and Phillip and his wife Kate and their sons Paul and Liam, his brothers Wilson and Victor, sisters in-law Marian and Joy, in-laws, relatives, neighbours, and a large circle of friends.

Kenny will repose at Clarkes Funeral Home Foxford on Wednesday evening from 6 o’clock until 7.30

Committal service at Shannon Crematorium on Thursday at 11 a.m.

ROY SMITH, CLAREMORRIS

The death has occurred of Roy Smith, Tulrahan, Claremorris, and formerly Isle of Wight peacefully, at Galway University Hospital.

Predeceased by his wife Yvonne. Deeply regretted by his daughter Denise (staff of Ladbrooks, Ballyhaunis), grandson Rory, great-grandson Cillian.

Funeral service will take place at Donnellan's Funeral Home on Saturday at 1 p.m., concluding with Church of Ireland prayers at 1.45 p.m. with private cremation afterwards in Shannon Crematorium.

TOM EGERTON, CLAREMORRIS

Tom Egerton, Luí na Gréine, Claremorris, and Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. Tom passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Tom will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Peggy sons Billy, Mark and Patrick, daughter Maria, daughters-in-law Amanda and Fifi, son-in-law Jean Louis, grandkids Tara, Emilie, Stacey, Kirsten Emma, Laila and Calvin. great granddaughter Mia. His brothers Joe Liam, Kevin, Mattie and Noel, sisters Marie, Angela, Imelda, Jackie, Olivia and Deirdre sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Gilligan’s Funeral home, Market Square, Claremorris (F12YP74) from 6 to 8 p.m. this Tuesday evening (11th Oct), Remains will arrive on Wednesday to St Colman’s Church, Claremorris for Funeral Mass at 11o.c. Removal afterwards to Shannon Crematorium (V14PV30) for a committal service at 2 p.m.

BRIDGET MAGUIRE, SHRULE

The death has occurred of Bridget Maguire (née Shannon), Dalgan Road, Shrule, and formerly of Killenagh, Ennistymon, Co. Clare.

Bridget passed away peacefully at her home in Shrule, in loving care of her husband Kevin by her side.

Predeceased by her twin sister Catherine, sister Peg Malone, brothers Patrick, Joe and Jimmy Shannon. Deeply regretted by her husband Kevin, sisters Mary, Carmel, brother Denny, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Cradock's Funeral Home, Shrule this evening (Tuesday) from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Saint Joseph’s Church, Shrule followed by cremation at Shannon Crematorium at 1 p.m.

ELIZABETH MCANDREW, BALLINA

Elizabeth (Liz), McAndrew, (née Roche), Moyglare Maynooth, and formerly of Ballymacahola and Corrimbla, Ballina; suddenly.

Predeceased by her nephew Ethan. Adored wife and best friend of Padraic, and devoted mother of Katie and Patrick; beloved daughter of PJ and Pauline and beloved sister of Joe, daughter-in-law of Peggy and the late Marty Joe, sister-in-law of Amy, Rosemary, Beatrice, Martin, Raymond, David, and Elaine; aunty of Aaron, Jacob, and Mason. Liz will forever be remembered by all her family, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence in Ballymacahola on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Mass in St Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina, on Thursday at 11:30 a.m., with the funeral proceeding to Leigue Cemetery.

MARY O'MAHONY, KILTIMAGH

Mary Teresa O’Mahony (née Conlon), Knocklyon, Dublin and late of Lisduff, Kiltimagh, peacefully, in the exceptional loving care of the Doctors and Nurses at Blackrock Clinic, after a long illness, bravely borne.

Predeceased by her parents Charlie and Nora, brothers Paddy, Jim and Michael. Sadly missed by her beloved husband Denis, much loved daughter Caitriona, son-in-law Shawn, adored grandson Ryan, step grandson Kier, brother Tom (UK), sisters-in-law Betty, Margaret, Breda, Ann and Kathleen, Janet, Win and Kathleen, brothers-in-law Frank and Paddy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Willbrook, Rathfarnham on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11 a.m. in St Colmcille’s Church, Knocklyon, followed by burial at Kilmashogue Cemetery.

Reposing at her residence this evening (Tuesday) from 6 until 8 p.m.. Funeral service will take place at her residence on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.
