New pathway linking Mayo village with greenway route

A new pathway connecting the village of Turlough with the nearby greenway route has been constructed.

The work follows the completion of a new pedestrian bridge over the local river to improve direct access to the facility for local people.

Mayo County Council's tourism department is currently collaborating with a media production company regarding the development of new dedicated television programmes to be aired on RTE later in the autumn.

It is anticipated that the filming will include the Castlebar – Turlough Greenway and the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life.
