Knockmore donation appeal to support arriving Ukrainian people

THE community of Knockmore have come together to support the Ukrainian people who have been allocated temporary accommodation in the former Pontoon Bridge Hotel.

A donation event is taking place this weekend to try and fulfil their clothing and supply needs.

A collection of good quality donations will take place on Saturday, October 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main hall at Knockmore Rathduff Resource Centre. Collections outside these times can also be facilitated

Items needed included:

• Warm jackets

• Wellies

• Clothes

• Personal hygiene products

• Female hygiene products

• Baby items (nappies, wipes, etc.)

**School supplies

• Lunchboxes

• School bags

• Bottles

• Pencil cases

• Pens, pencils, etc.

• Toys

** First aid kits

** Medical supplies

• Blood pressure monitor

• Pulse machine

Volunteers are also needed to help receive and sort items, as well as drivers with transport to drop some goods over to the Pontoon Bridge later in the day.
