Consultation open on six-unit south Mayo housing proposal

PUBLIC consultation is open on a Part 8 planning application for a six-unit development in Claremorris town.

Mayo County Council proposes to develop the homes at Mount Street, with two one-bedroom houses and four two-bed apartments, together with all associated site development works including an access archway and open landscaped courtyard. All dwellings will be provided with private gardens or outdoor terraces.

The design intends to re-establish the existing street edge by building four dwellings facing directly onto Mount Street, plus two further townhouses to the rear of the site, making efficient use of what is a compact site.

Members of the public are invited to make submissions on the proposals not later than November 16.
