Rural Mayo community mourns death of man in drowning accident
The death has taken place in a drowning accident of John Boyle, Kilgarriff, Knock.
The tragedy, which occurred when he fell into a river near his home, has evoked a huge sense of loss in the community where he was held in high regard. He was aged in his early 60s.
John was predeceased by his parents May and Martin and his brother Martin.
He will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his sisters Mary (Shanahan), Dublin, Margaret (Groarke), Maree, Oranmore, brothers Pat (Dublin) and Brendan (Dublin), sister-in-law Annette, brothers-in-law Denis and Gerry, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephew, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.
His remains will be reposing at the Marian Funeral Home, Knock, on Wednesday from 6 p.m. with removal at 8 p.m. to The Church of St. John The Baptist, Knock.
Funeral Mass takes place on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. followed by burial in local cemetery.
