Mayo scientist awarded €2m. for research into gender bias in human disease

Belcarra-man Colm Nestor has been awarded a consolidator grant of 22 million Swedish Kroner (cir. €2 million) by the European Research Council (ERC).

Research scientist Colm is associate professor at Linkoping University in southern Sweden, and this funding will be used to research gender bias in human disease.

Colm is a past pupil of St. Gerald’s College, Castlebar, St. Jarlath’s College, Tuam, and Trinity College.
