New Cannonball 4x4 Overland Adventure coming to Mayo

CANNONBALL, the action-packed supercar spectacle, has always been a firm favourite in Mayo for spectators.

Now Cannonball is coming back to Mayo with the all new 4x4 event, which will be based at Knockranny House Hotel in Westport on November 18 and 19, arriving at approximately 5.30 p.m. on both evenings.

The Cannonball Overland 4x4 Adventure has a beefy line up of luxurious and offload ready 4x4s from the opulent Bentley Bentayga to the ultimate 4x4 Ford Raptor. Among those that took part last year was the Range Rover SVR, a collection of Land Rover Defender 110s, Audi Q8, Audi SQ7, Range Rover Sport, Jeep Wrangler, Porsche Cayenne and many more, with some exciting new additions to this year’s event.

From cosy pubs with roaring fires and awe-inspiring coastal drives to world famous cuisine with a few surprises along the way, the Cannonball 4x4 Adventure 2022 takes on the Wild Atlantic Way in all its glory.

The road trip sets off at 10 a.m. from Salthill in Galway on November 18, with lunch in Clifden and then to Knockranny House Hotel, which will be home to the Cannonball 4x4 Adventure for two nights. From here, the Cannonballers will explore the famous Wild Atlantic Way, Kylemore Abbey Sky Road, Spanish Armada viewing point, Achill Island and the world famous Atlantic Drive, which is named among the top 10 road trips in Europe by luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller. Cannonballers can also experience the lifestyle of the country set with archery, falconry or just cosy up in front of a roaring fire for a good old trad session with friends.

In true Cannonball style, this road trip goes the extra mile with wonders at every turn including a bagpiper on a bridge, a falconer at breakfast and that rare camaraderie that makes all Cannonball road-trips truly unforgettable experiences.

The cost of the 4x4 adventure is €1,650 for two people sharing and one car. This includes lunch and evening meals, one 4x4 car entry, photography and crew, two nights’ accommodation in Knockranny House Hotel, car graphics and information pack with lanyards.
