Roadworks at Ireland West Airport this week

RESURFACING works will be taking place on the regional road at the main entrance to Ireland West Airport on two days this week.

Passengers flying out of the airport on Wednesday and Thursday, November 16 and 17, are advised that due to the works at the main entrance to the airport car park, that entrance will be closed during this time.

A traffic management plan will be in operation on both days and alternative access to the car park entrance will be in place for the duration of the works.

Additionally, for passengers requiring transport with Bus Éireann to and from the airport, a temporary new location for the Bus Éireann collection and drop off point will be in place on both days. This will be clearly signposted on arrival at the terminal building directing passengers to and from the temporary bus stop as required.

In an update on its social media, the airport said dedicated staff will be on hand during the two days to assist passengers.

Passengers travelling out are advised to arrive to the airport at least 90 minutes in advance of their flight time to avoid any unnecessary delays during the works.
