Bridge works on N17 in Mayo to be completed early in new year

WORKS on the new bridge over the N17 near Claremorris are nearing completion.

Construction works are ongoing on the Lisduff scheme, with the bridge substantially complete, and the R320 partially reopened to traffic.

Completion of the scheme is due in January 2023.

An update on this and other road schemes around the county was issued in the monthly management report from Mayo County Council.

Construction works are continuing on the N5 Westport - Turlough scheme, with project completion still due in Q2 2023.

The N60 Manulla scheme is at route option phase, with a preferred route to be identified before the end of the year.

Contract documents for the N59 Newport - Derrada scheme are undergoing final review, which will be followed with a request to TII to proceed to tender in Q4 2022.

Consultant procurement is ongoing for the N26 Mount Falcon to Foxford scheme for the various phases of scheme delivery.

A strategic assessment report for the N58 Foxford by-pass has been prepared and forwarded to TII for approval.

A tender has been awarded for the N84 north of Shrule road widening scheme, with a contractor scheduled to commence by the end of November.

Works on the Bundoola sea wall project in Belmullet are nearing completion.

The Part 8 planning application for the N60 Breaffy Active Travel and Safety Scheme was published in September, with submissions to be received by November 23.
