Man due in court in connection with Mayo drugs seizure

A MAN in his 20s arrested following a seizure of cannabis with an estimated value of €227,200 in Charlestown on Sunday has been charged.

He is expected to appear before a sitting of Ballina District Court this morning (Tuesday) at 10.30 a.m.

Gardaí from Tuam and Swinford with the Mayo Divisional Drugs Unit and the Armed Support Unit discovered the drugs following the search of a domestic residence in the Charlestown area.
