Passing of Ann Bennett is deeply regretted in Mayo

The death has occurred of Ann Bennett (née Marsh), 18 Fr. Meehan Place, Castlebar, and formerly of Ballina.

A popular and much-loved woman, she will be sadly missed by her sons Shane and Tony, daughters Sinead and Eveanna and their father Michael, her grandchildren and great-granddaughter, brother Robin (Ballina), sisters Eleanor (Ballina) and Joan (USA), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, daughters-in-law Assumpta and Karen and son-in-law Derek, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

She was predeceased by her parents John Shanie and Annie Marsh (née Flemming), brothers David, Val, Kevin and Anthony, sister sister Eva, grandsons Anthony and Edward and her son-in-law Brendan.

A number of tributes have been paid to her on the condolences page of the the death notices website, RIP.ie, in which she was described as "the kindest and most thoughtful neighbour" and "a wonderful lady."

Reposing in Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, this evening (Tuesday) from 6 to 7.30 p.m.

Requiem Mass takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, at 10.45 a.m.

Afterwards Ann will be laid to rest in the family plot in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.
