A Mayo celebration of 'Festive Melodies' at Castlebar church

Castlebar Concert Band stage their annual Christmas Concert, 'Festive Melodies,' at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, on Friday evening next, starting at 7.30 p.m.

Under the baton of their new musical director Debbie Clarke, the band will perform a mix of Christmas carols and other seasonal favourites in what's billed as an evening of music and cheer.

They will be joined by the Garvey Brothers, Rolling Waves and friends.

It's the perfect way to get into the festive mood ahead of Christmas week.

Everybody is welcome and admission and free.

Those wishing to make a small donation can do so afterwards.
