Status Orange low temperature warning issued for Mayo

Temperatures could drop to below -5 Celsius as the cold snap continues across Mayo.

A Status Orange low temperature/ice alert has been issued for the county from 6 p.m. tomorrow until 12 noon on Friday with lows of -5C forecast, leading to severe frost and ice.

Members of the public are urged to exercise care on unsalted roads and footpaths.
