Urgent action sought on 'dangerous' Mayo footpath after woman's fall
An appeal has been issued for the replacement of a footpath at New Antrim Street in Castlebar described as being dangerous.
Councillor Ger Deere raised the matter at a meeting of the local municipal district.
He said action is needed after an elderly woman fell at the location after her walking stick got stuck on a section of the pathway, causing her to tumble.
Iarla Moran, head of the district, said the matter will be examined.
