Passing of Mayo seamstress Mae Gibbons in her 95th year
The death has occurred in her 95th year of Mae Gibbons (née Moran), Cloonkeen, Castlebar.
She died peacefully in the wonderful care of the Mayo Hospice.
Mae was predeceased by her husband Paddy, daughter-in-law Bridie, brothers Jim and Mike and her sister Nan.
She will be sadly missed by her sons Padraic and Michael, her daughter Marie Heneghan, son-in-law Jimmy, daughter-in-law Marian, her adored grandchildren Gary, Gemma, Coleen, Michelle, David, Brenda, Richard, Donna, Karen, Laura, Billy, Brian and Shane and her great-grandchildren Kieran, Amelia, Ruairi, Blanaid, Doireann, Eanna, Morgan, Reece, Harley and Leah, to whom sympathy is tendered.
Mae was a kind and caring person.
She was a talented seamstress and she worked for several years in the Exclusive Fabrics Shop in Castlebar where she was well liked and respected by her work colleagues and the many customers she met over the years.
Reposing at the Coady Funeral Home on Monday 5.30 to 7 p.m.
The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, on Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m.
Afterwards Mae will be laid to rest with her husband in the family plot in Islandeady Cemetery.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
