Mayo N60 road closure plan to facilitate upgrading project

Works have got underway on the Heathlawn road project on the N60 between Balla and Claremorris.

Machinery has moved onto the site to begin preliminary works on the road-widening scheme. The scheme will involved a number of road closures over the coming months.

From Monday, February 6, to Friday, April 7, the L-5539 in the townlands of Ballintleva and Batnagregaun will close at its junction with the N60 for a distance of approximately 330 metres.

Objections to the closure may be submitted to the offices of Castlebar Municipal District, the Mall, Castlebar, by 4 p.m. on January 16.
