Former Mayo GAA star departs role as Rathoath manager

Former Mayo footballer David Brady has stepped down from his role as manager of Meath club Rathoath.

The club regained the Meath senior football championship this year after a one-point win over Summerhill, eventually losing to Westmeath's The Downs in the Leinster quarterfinals.

In a statement, the club said the former Ballina Stephenites man is "taking up a new position in his professional life that unfortunately will not afford him the time needed to commit fully to Ratoath GAA."
