Mayo players make impact at international level

THE level of talent in Mayo football has seen no shortage of call-ups at international level in various age groups in 2022.

Westport United’s Gary Cunningham has made multiple appearances with the Ireland amateur squad, while Belcarra native Luke McNicholas and Westport’s Conor Walsh both started games with the Ireland Under 21s and Under 17s respectively.

Castlebar’s Darragh Reilly saw game time for the Ireland schools international team in the Centenary Shield back in March, while Emma Duffy (Davitt College, Castlebar) and Keeva Flynn (St. Mary’s Secondary School, Ballina) were involved with the Ireland Under 15 girls squad in the Bob Docherty Cup.
