West Mayo community grieving death of young mother
The death of Donna MacRury (née Staunton), Scotland, and late of Roskeen, Tiernaur, Newport, has evoked a huge sense of loss and sorrow in the west Mayo community.
Cherished daughter of Mick and Teresa Staunton, Donna was beloved wife of Coinneach and devoted mother to Charlie.
She is also survived by her brother Mark, Newport, sister-in-law Aisling, nephews Jamie and Matthew, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins and large circle of friends.
Heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their immeasurable loss.
Many warm tributes have been paid to the deceased on the condolences page of the death notices website, RIP.ie.
"With her kind heart, immense charm and unrivalled wit, Donna was one in a million, a ray of sunshine who lit up the lives of those who were fortunate enough to call her a friend. She will always be remembered and greatly missed," one stated.
Another said: "She was a truly beautiful person, with the sweetest smile."
A further tribute outlined: "Donna would light up every room and draw everyone to her."
Requiem Mass took place today in St. Brendan’s Church, Tiernaur.
