Mayo singer bidding to be next country music star
MAYO could produce Ireland’s next country music star as Belmullet's Sean Fahy will be taking part in the new season of Glór Tíre, TG4’s hit country and Irish music series.
The series begins on Tuesday, January 10, at 9.30 p.m. and continues into February.
Sean will be among eight contestants fighting it out to win the title of Ireland’s Glór Tíre country music champion.
For the first time in more than two years, the performers will play before an audience, with the show presented by Aoife Ní Thuairsig and Séamus Ó Scanláin.
Contestants will each be mentored by a leading figure from the Irish country scene. Sean is mentored by David James and his first appearance will be broadcast on January 17.
Glór Tíre, produced by Gael Media, is TG4’s longest running and most successful country music series. It is acknowledged as a vital platform for country and Irish music performers and essential viewing for fans of the genre.
