Mayo player in charity fundraiser initiative
The man almost as famous for his long locks as his tigerish defending for Mayo, Pádraig O'Hora, is chopping off his hair for a special cause.
The Ballina Stephenites man is doing Locks of Love for LauraLynn – Ireland's children's hospice, which provides special palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions and supports families across the country.
Locks of Love actually helps not one but two charities, raising funds for LauraLynn and also creating a wig for people in need through The Little Princess Trust. Fundraisers can donate 12 inches or more of their hair to The Little Princess Trust, who in turn provide free, real hair wigs to both children and adults who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. (Note: LauraLynn do not accept hair donations).
Following a poll on his Instagram page to determine what hairstyle he will end up with following the cut, Pádraig is set to adopt a Neymar-style mohawk.

Caring for a sick child is very difficult but when the family attends LauraLynn, they get a chance to spend quality time together. They play games, sing songs and create happy memories. They can forget about hospitals and medications for a while as the LauraLynn nurses and care team look after everything for them. Find out more at https://www.lauralynn.ie.
