Mayo GAA Bord na nÓg chairman steps down from role
Mayo GAA Bord na nÓg chairperson Daithí Ó Gallchóir has stepped down from his position.
The chairman of the county board Seamus Tuohy has informed clubs that Mr. Ó Gallchóir is stepping down for personal reasons.
In paying tribute to him, the chairman said that during his three years as Bord na nÓg chairperson, Daithi did tremendous work and was a great leader.
Daithí has extended thanks to everyone he has worked with over the past three years in his position.
“I wish to confirm that I am stepping down as that Mayo GAA Bord na nÓg chairperson for personal reasons.
"I have enjoyed been in the position for the past three years and I want to thank everyone I worked over these years for their great help and the support they gave me,” said Daithí.
Mr. Gallagher will be staying on as chairman until the board elects his replacement in the coming weeks.
