Mayo player makes the GAA.ie Football Team of the Week

Mayo's Aidan O'Shea has made the GAA.ie Football Team of the Week.

The Breaffy man takes his place at full-forward on the selection following the weekend's Allianz National League Division 1 contest against Armagh.

A pulsating game in Box-It Athletic Grounds finished in a draw, both teams scoring 0-17 each.

O'Shea scored two of Mayo's points and was a handful for the Armagh defence throughout the game. It was one of his best displays for the county team in some time.

Armagh's Rian O'Neill, who popped over a late, late free to salvage his team a draw, was also named on the Team of the Week.

Mayo's next Division 1 game is against Kerry in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park on Saturday week (February 18), throwing in at 7.30 p.m.
