Mayo firm Portwest raises €5,400 for Marie Keating Foundation campaign

Leading Mayo firm Portwest has partnered with the Marie Keating Foundations' Pink Patron campaign to raise vital funds to support people and their families impacted by breast cancer.

The partnership helps ensure the Marie Keating Foundation can continue to be there for those affected by a breast cancer diagnosis.

Throughout October, Portwest donated €10 to the Marie Keating Foundation for every one of their bestselling Carla jackets sold throughout their four outdoor shops and online store.

Portwest customers were the driving force behind this campaign, raising a grand total of €5,400.

Rachel Davoren, MD of Portwest Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be able to support the good work of the Marie Keating Foundation and their Pink Patron Campaign. We would like to thank all of our customers who got behind the campaign also, as without them, we wouldn’t have been able to do this."

Tiernan Reilly, corporate partnership and major gifts manager for the Marie Keating Foundation, visited The Outdoor Shop, Portwest's flagship leisurewear store for the cheque presentation.

Tiernan said: "The Marie Keating Foundation is so proud of our partnership with Portwest and their support for our Pink Parton’s campaign.

"Funds raised through the Pink Patron campaign will help to continue to provide lifesaving information about breast cancer prevention, and support for those affected, in communities, schools and businesses throughout Ireland to ensure everyone has the information they need to detect breast cancer in its earliest stages and get the help they need before it’s too late.

"This would be not possible without the support of Portwest, the commitment of their staff and of course their fantastic customers."

Portwest and the Marie Keating Foundation thank those who supported the campaign.
