Passing of retired Mayo garda in Donegal

The funeral has taken place today of Jim Brennan, Chapel Road, Dungloe, Co. Donegal, and formerly of Station Road, Balla.

A member of a popular and widely respected family, Jim was a retired member of An Garda Síochána.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Maureen and his parents Sal and Tom Brennan (Balla), he will be sadly missed by his daughter Mary Francis, sons Thomas and Michael, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, partner Kate, brothers Owen (Claremorris) and John (Balla), sisters Margaret (Castlebar), Ann (Balla), Pauline (Castlebar) and Sally (Kiltimagh), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends in Balla and Donegal.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

Requiem Mass took place today in St. Crona's Church, Dungloe, followed by burial in Maghery Cemetery.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
