Mayo Young Sports Starts: A rugby player with a bright future ahead of him

Paddy Flannelly of Castlebar RFC has been involved with the Connacht Rugby regional development programme for the past three years, and was selected to play on the wing for last year’s Under 18 interpros.

He was involved in a draw against Ulster and a narrow defeat to Leinster, in which he scored a try, while he was also part of the team who defeated Munster.

Paddy has come through the underage ranks at Castlebar RFC along with several other players of note.

He currently plays Under 18.5 with the club, and deserves recognition for his dedication and commitment to rugby over the past few years. He's a player with a big future ahead of him.

He will receive his Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sports Stars Award at the presentation ceremony tomorrow (Friday) in Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar.
