Antiquated lighting in estate in Mayo's county town needs replacing

AN antiquated lighting system in the Maryland estate in Castlebar needs to be upgraded.

The request has come from Councillor Ger Deere.

There are a lot of black spots in the area, he explained.

The lighting is 'very antiquated', Councillor Deere told a local area meeting, and he asked that the council would look at upgrading it.
