Update sought on skate park in Mayo's county town

A LOCAL councillor wants to see progress being made on delivering a skate park for Castlebar.

Seeking an update on where the project is at, Councillor Ger Deere told a municipal district meeting that he had tabled a motion on it three years ago.

A site was identified and they were looking for funding.

“Has anything been done on it?” he asked management. Had any grants been applied for.

The councillor requested an update on the project from the executive.
