Central Mayo village needs a bus shelter

THE need for a bus shelter in Ballyvary has again been raised by Councillor Ger Deere.

Noting how funding has been allocated for a shelter in Kilkelly, the councillor said he had raised the Ballyvary shelter three years ago.

However, he understood no application had been made to TII.

Councillor Deere, speaking at a Castlebar Municipal District meeting, asked council management to submit an application.

A lot of elderly people coming into Castlebar use the stop and they were being left out in the elements, he said.
