Ballina people ready 'to welcome the world to our great town'

Members of Ballina Community Clean-Up have erected a banner at The Font in the town to welcome US President Joe Biden "and the expected thousands of visitors over the next week."

A post on the group's Facebook page said: "It boasts the beauty of our town from the skies above, flanked by the seal of office of the President of the United States, along with an acknowledgement that this is the ancestral home town of President Joe Biden.

"Thanks to David Beattie at My Irish Drone for the especially taken great new drone shot of the town.

"Thanks, as always, to David Devers from Connacht Print and Design for knocking it out of the ballpark with another great design job for us and the town.

"Thanks to Darren Judge from Judge Brothers Limited for providing and operating the machinery to get our team up over Teeling Street to erect the banner.

"Our group’s PR/Marketing and Logistics teams worked to complete this project.

"After 300 years, Ballina is about to have its greatest ever week!

"We welcome the world to our great town."

Work has also taken place on enhancing the Joe Biden Mural at Market Square in the town.
