Tuohy and Callinan selected by Mayo to face Sligo in Under 20 clash

Mayo GAA Under-20 football manager Maurice Sheridan has named his team for the opening round of the EirGrid Connacht GAA Under 20 All-Ireland football championship against Sligo this evening at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Bekan, at 7 p.m. (Please note change of venue.)

Senior stars Bob Tuohy and Sam Callinan, who both featured in the Allianz National Football League Division 1 final victory over Galway are named at midfield and full-back respectively, with a sprinkling of Mayo minor players from last year also named to start.

Tom O’Flaherty, captain Sean Morahan, Conal Dawson, Jack Fallon, Fenton Kelly and Cian McHale all featured in last year's defeat to Sligo in the Connacht final.

Newcomers this year include Dara Hurley, David Dolan, Paul Gilmore, Cathal Corless, James Maheady and Ciaran Boland.

Sheridan has also bolstered his backroom team this season with former two-time All-Star Kenneth Mortimer added to his management team.
