Plans for 20-unit housing proposal for Achill Sound published

PLANS have been published for a council-led housing development at Pollranny in Achill Sound.

The development would see the construction of 20 semi-detached residential units.

The site in question is located between the GAA pitch and Colaiste Phobail Acla at Achill Sound.

The proposal is for the demolition of derelict former school buildings and the construction of 20 new dwellings comprising four one-bedroom, 12 two-bedroom and four three-bedroom homes.

Members of the public can view the plans at Westport Civic Offices or the planning office at Aras an Chontae, Castlebar, or online until May 10.
