Miss Earth Ireland finalists hold bonding day in west Mayo

WESTPORT’S FlameFit Gym recently welcomed Miss Earth Ireland finalists from all over the country for an official bonding day.

Miss Earth Ireland is a beauty pageant with an environmental twist, and the winner will represent Ireland in Vietnam at the international Miss Earth final later this year, one of the biggest beauty pageants in the world.

Three of this year’s finalists are from Mayo - Amber Conway and Clare Bracken from Westport and Ellen Worth from Belmullet.

FlameFit is the title sponsor for the national competition, which takes place at The g Hotel in Galway next month, and owner Siobhan Cahill will also be a judge on the night.

Siobhan is thrilled to be onboard as a judge and sponsor and said: “I love the whole ethos of Miss Earth Ireland as it’s beauty for a cause. The finalists raise so much awareness for environmental causes throughout the competition, and they do a lot of charity work.

“They’re such an empowering bunch of women and I’m so excited to be part of their journey.”

Siobhan put the ladies through their paces with a fun workout on the bonding day, which was the first time this year’s contestants all met one another.

FlameFit Gym is home of bodybuilding and powerlifting in Westport, and is the only dedicated weights gym in the town.

The high-tech weights gym and wellness centre is a state of the art training space offering top class facilities for individuals and groups.

The next Miss Earth Ireland will be crowned on May 27.

Last year Claudia Nigowska from Westport came in the top three in the final.
