Joe (Patrick Joseph) Maxwell, Mountain View, Ballyhip, Louisburgh

Joe died peacefully at home in the care of his family. He is sadly missed by his loving wife Eileen (née Gibbons), daughter Deborah (Louisburgh), sons James (Vermont, USA), Richard (Kilgeever), Stephen (Corrandulla), Andrew (Knockrooskey) and Matthew (Dublin), sister Delia Coen, brothers Seamus, Michael, John and William, daughters-in-law Merin, Triona, Niamh, Assumpta and Laura, his 15 grandchildren, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended Maxwell and Gibbons families, and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Sweeney's Funeral Home, Louisburgh, on Tuesday (April 25) from 6 p.m., concluding with evening prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Louisburgh, at 11.15 a.m. on Wednesday for 11.30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in Kilgeever Cemetery. VINCENT JORDAN, CHARLESTOWN/SALTHILL

Vincent Jordan, Carragh Close, Salthill, Galway, formerly Charlestown, Mayo.

Vincent passed away peacefully with his much-loved family by his side on April 22 last.

Deeply mourned and loved by his wife Mary (née Tunney) and their sons and daughters Garrett, Piaras, Daire, Cliodhna, Ciara and Cian, his very precious grandsons Liam and Luke, daughters-in-law and partners Lorraine, Emma-Jane, Iseult and Conor, sisters Sr. Catherine, Martina, Norah and Teresa, brothers James, Danny and Laurence, the extended Jordan and Tunney families, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8), on Tuesday, April 25, from 7 to 8.30 p.m. Arriving at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill, on Wednesday, April 26, in advance of Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Following Mass, Vincent will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery.

JAN ROWLAND, BALLYVARY

Jan Rowland, Ballyvary, Castlebar, formerly of London and Scotland.

Jan, who died peacefully in North Berwick, Scotland, was predeceased by her husband Denis (Newline, Castlebar). She is greatly loved and forever missed by her children Mark (Balla), Denise (North Berwick) and David (London), their partners Mary, Greg and Kathy, grandchildren Sinéad, Siobhán, Ciarán, Méabh, Rebecca, Kirsty, Lily, and Ella, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Coady Funeral Home, Castlebar, on Thursday, April 27, from 5.30 until 7 p.m., with removal to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

NOREEN LALLY, LOUISBURGH

Noreen Lally (née O'Donnell), Templeogue, Dublin, and The Beeches, Louisburgh.

Noreen passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at the Mater Hospital. Loving daughter of the late John and Mary (née Flynn), beloved sister of the late Mary McDonald and Margaret Davitt, she is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Patrick, daughters Davina and Aisling, son Ciarán, brothers-in-law James and Martin Lally, John McDonald and Frank Davitt, sister-in-law Kathleen Heraty, mother-in-law Nora Lally, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended Lally and O'Donnell families, and a wide circle of friends.

Noreen will lie in repose at Sweeney's Funeral Home, Louisburgh, on Wednesday, April 26, from 6 p.m., with removal at 8 p.m., walking to St. Patrick's Church, Louisburgh. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 1 p.m. will be followed by interment in Kilgeever Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed on www.louisburghparish.ie.

DR. HUGH BYRNE, BALLINROBE

Dr. Hugh Byrne, Ballinrobe, formerly of Terenure, Co. Dublin.

Dr. Hugh Byrne, a former TD, passed away peacefully at Mayo University Hospital after a brave battle over the course of the past year. Predeceased by his brothers John, Des and Gerald, he will be sadly missed by his daughter Judith, sons Shane, Peter and Hughbie, brothers Dermot and Michael, adored grandchildren Oscar, Rachel, Josh, Alex, Izzy and Aidan, daughters-in-law Narahya, Audrey and Alva, extended family, relatives and all his friends.

A Funeral Service for Hugh will take place on Wednesday, April 26, at 1.30 p.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Monkstown, followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross. MARY STENSON, BALLAGHADERREEN

Mary Stenson (née Moran), Currina, Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon, and Carracastle, Mayo.

Mary, who died peacefully at Roscommon University Hospital, was in her 94th year. She had her family by her side.

Pre-deceased by her husbands John Shryane and Padraig Stenson, sister Anne, brothers Sean, Padraig and Peter, and daughter Marie (Regan), Mary is sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons Chris and James, grandchildren Sandra, Darren, Shane, Caroline, Rory, Daniel, Lorraine, Siobhan, Rebecca, Megan, Jonathan, Michael and Keith, great-grandchildren Lee, Saoirse and Mylah, sister Bridie (Davey), brother Jim, son-in-law Gerry, daughter-in-law Kathleen, sisters-in-law Christina and Margaret, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Resposing in the Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen, on Wednesday, April 26, from 5 p.m., with removal at 7.15 p.m. to St. James’ Church, Carracastle, arriving at 8 p.m. (via Currina). Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, April 27, at 12 noon, with the funeral proceeding to Carracastle Cemetery.
