Fundraising drive to redevelop Knock Community Centre

KNOCK Community Centre Committee have launched a fundraising drive to save and redevelop the village's community centre.

The centre will undergo a complete refurbishment this year to revive it as a hub for young and old in the community.

The improvements are vital to ensure the centre remains useable, accessible, safe and continues to meet the needs of the present and future generations living in the wider Knock area.

In an update on its social media, Knock Community Futures explained how to date, an approved grant of €300,000 has been received, with the committee launching a fundraising drive to raise further funds - in the region of €200,000.

They are appealing to the Knock community - at home and abroad - to help save this vital service, with a callout to local people and to people with connections to Knock from all over the world to lend their support.

“Let's pull together as a community and with your help we can make this happen. Your generosity is very much appreciated,” is the message.
