Bank Holiday Monday will be generally dry for most of the country, with this morning's light showers quickly clearing.
After a cloudy start, sunny spells will develop by afternoon, with highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in a light to moderate northwesterly breeze.
The forecast for tonight is that the dry and clear spells will continue, though cloud will build slightly.
"Some mist and fog will form as winds fall light variable or calm. A chillier night with lows of 2 to 6 for the northern half of the country where there could be some grass frost, generally staying between 5 and 9 degrees further south," predicts national forecaster Met Eireann.
