Submissions to Mayo County Council on Moorehall masterplan close this week

THE Moorehall draft masterplan and environmental report is on display and open for public submissions until 5 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, May 2).

The plan was prepared by Mayo County Council in collaboration with the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the masterplan will support decision-making for the future development and management of the area.

Observations can be made online through the consult portal on Mayo.ie or in writing to the council. Full details on the masterplan and on making submissions can be found at https://consult.mayo.ie/en/browse.

Also at Moorehall, in a tourism update for the Castlebar Municipal District, local councillors were told that project planning is ongoing relating to the Moorehall/Towerhill and also the Breaffy Woods looped walks where funding was awarded under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme.
