Need for cremation wall in county town cemetery

CASTLEBAR Cemetery needs to have a cremation wall.

The matter has again been raised by Councillor Ger Deere who has asked council management if any progress has been made on delivering a wall.

A lot of local authorities around the country are putting them in place and they needed to look at one for Castlebar, he said.

Councillor Michael Kilcoyne agreed there is demand for this facility, particularly where space is running down in burial grounds.
