TG4 will be at the heart of this year's Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta
TG4 will be at the heart of this year's Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta. The competitions will take place in the Donegal Gaeltacht from June 2 and 5, and will be hosted by the CLG Naomh Muire club. TG4 are proud partners of the annual competition.
The Mayo clubs competing this year are: Cill tSéadhna (junior ladies), Cill Chomáin (senior ladies and junior men) and Béal an Mhuirthead (senior men).
Many of the games will be broadcast on TG4 platforms, live on the Spórt TG4’s YouTube channel or televised live on TG4. In addition to this, the games will be available to watch globally on the TG4 Player.
Presenters Máire Ní Bhraonáin and Micheál Ó Domhnaill will be joined by Mac Dara Mac Donncha, Brian Tyers, Cárthach Bán Breathnach and Conall Ó Máirtín, who will provide commentary at the annual competition.
Analysts will include some Comórtas Peile legends, including Kerry’s Aodán Mac Gearailt (An Ghaeltacht), Galway’s Seán Óg de Paor (An Cheathrú Rua), Donegal's Kevin Cassidy (Gaoth Dobhair), Galway’s Sarah Ní Loingsigh (Naomh Anna) and Donegal’s Emer Ní Ghallchóir (An Tearmann).
The ladies' junior final will be broadcast live on the Spórt TG4’s YouTube channel at 10 a.m. on Monday morning (June 5). It will be followed by the senior ladies' final live on TG4 at 12 noon, with the men's junior and senior finals live on TG4 at 2 and 4 p.m. respectively.
Nuacht TG4 and Molscéal will be reporting from the competition over the long weekend. An Cailín Gaelach will broadcast live on Molscéal’s Facebook page on Sunday night (June 4) from 9.30 p.m. It will be hosted by Dónall Mac Ruairí.
