Three changes on Mayo team to face Cork on Sunday

Mayo senior football manager Kevin McStay has made three changes to the team that started against Louth for this weekend's All-Ireland SFC round three game against Cork at the TUS Gaelic Grounds, Limerick, this Sunday.

The three changes to the team see Padraig O'Hora replace Diarmuid O'Connor, which will allow Stephen Coen to move to midfield, with captain Paddy Durcan and Westport's Fionn McDonagh also both named to start ahead of Donnacha McHugh and Jason Doherty.

Colm Reape continues in goal, with Jack Coyne and David McBrien in front of him. They are joined by O'Hora at corner-back. Sam Callinan moves to the half-back line alongside Conor Loftus and Paddy Durcan, who will be making his 50th championship appearance this Sunday.

The ever-reliable Stephen Coen and Matthew Ruane are named at midfield. The pair were both solid at midfield together in Mayo's Under 21 All-Ireland victory against Cork in 2016.

The half-forward line consists of Fionn McDonagh partnering Jack Carney and Jordan Flynn, while Aidan O'Shea lines up at the edge of the square alongside James Carr and Ryan O'Donoghue to complete the Mayo full-forward line.

Knockmore pair Darren McHale and stalwart Kevin McLoughlin both return to the bench along with Eoghan McLaughlin, who suffered a hand injury in the first round against Kerry. Down's Paul Faloon has been named as referee for this game, which throws in at 2 p.m. on Sunday (June 18). The game will be live on GAA GO and broadcast by Midwest Radio with Michael D. McAndrew and Martin Carney on commentary. Mayo GAA will have live updates across all social media platforms. Tickets for the match can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
