Widely respected Mayo priest Fr. Frank Fahey celebrates golden jubilee

Popular and widely-respected Ballintubber priest, Fr. Frank Fahey, has celebrated his golden jubilee in the priesthood.

Members of the community, as well as the clergy, came together on Saturday to pay tribute to an outstanding cleric who has given sterling service to Ballintubber Abbey and the parish over many years.

A special Mass to mark the occasion attracted a large attendance.

It was followed by a social at which many tributes were paid to him.

Fr. Frank thanked everybody for their kindness and generosity.
