New river walk in east Mayo is open

PHASE one of a new river walk in east Mayo has opened to the public.

A boost for all in the community, the walking trail in Charlestown in particular provides a safe route for children, connecting the GAA pitch, athletics field and swimming pool.

The official opening will happen in the next few weeks.

With the first phase complete, the project will now move on to phase two.
